About Dr. Mittal

Shruti Mittal, MD is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician (DBP) in Charlotte, NC and completed her training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
She feels passionate about building resiliency in children, focusing on the development of a positive self-esteem, and emphasizes the importance of learning how to have a ‘growth mindset’ for life!
Each child is different, and she is passionate about thinking outside of the box and coming up with individualized solutions for your child.

Most behavioral disorders result in difficulties with executive functioning, relationships with peers and family members, self-esteem, and skills of daily living (adaptive functioning).

Dr. Mittal emphasizes a holistic approach to address all areas of a child’s life with lifestyle modifications, organizational strategies, social emotional coping strategies.

I had a speech language disorder at a young age and had personal experience receiving speech therapy in school. I struggled with self esteem through high school and it took many years to find tools that really helped me achieve success. This is a reason I emphasize the need for families to develop resilient mindsets and develop good emotional coping strategies through adolescence. I continue to find out things about myself on a daily basis and I can’t wait to share the tools I have found useful for myself with your family!
